National business consulting, IT and solutions firm, Ajilon, has just formalised the second of its two landmark multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts with the Western Australia Police.
The larger of the two contracts will see Ajilon delivering major IT applications maintenance and support to the agency for the next five years, with a further five year extension option.
WA Police Acting Superintendent and ICT Division Head, Bill Leonard, said the firm had been transitioning its services in for the past four months as part of the process to replace the former vendor.
Ajilon is now supporting 113 WA Police applications on a twenty-four-by-seven basis, 365 days of the year,” said Mr Leonard.
This contract, which could potentially span 10 years, is a significant investment and ensures the WA Police will continue to have reliable and efficient business systems.”
The second contract awarded to Ajilon is a five-year appointment to the agency’s IT Project Services panel, with a two-year extension option. New initiatives approved throughout the term of the contract will be allocated to appointed panel members.
Ajilon’s Managing Director, Giles Nunis, said Ajilon’s commitment to provide effective outsourced IT services had been rewarded as a result of securing this long-term contract with the WA Police.
Ajilon’s capability in supporting, developing and extending critical business systems remains our strategic position in the Australian marketplace and the WA Police has selected us based on our reputation and experience in this field,” said Mr Nunis.
He added that despite the economic downturn, Ajilon’s growth forecast this year was strong.
Ajilon is now one of the largest commercial management consultancies in Western Australia and winning this prestigious contract with the WA Police will significantly strengthen our market position not only in Western Australia, but nationally.
“We’re thrilled to have won this work and we look forward to developing a long-term relationship with the WA Police.”
