Ajilon's client is the largest health insurance provider in Western Australia with over 900,000 members and more than 800 staff to support them. In order to aid staff retention, the intention of the client's intranet was to provide staff with a single source of information and to help the staff located across its 20 branches feel part of the corporate culture.

Ajilon provided project management, technology installation and configuration, custom development,  web design and training in delivering an intranet within a limited timeframe.  Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS 3.0) was selected as a quick and economical way to deliver the information-driven intranet.

The benefits of the intranet initiative included:

• The ability to disseminate organization-wide information without the need to use emails as a means of informing staff
• Providing an avenue to staff for feedback and enquiries
• The training of HBF key intranet staff in the administration of SharePoint as a platform
